We ("we", "our", or "the developer") built Bluetooth Auto Connect, Widget to help you manage your Bluetooth devices. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
By using the app, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Data we collect
1.1 Data stored only on your device
The following data is stored only on your phone and is not sent to our servers or third parties:
- Paired device list: Names, custom aliases, Bluetooth addresses, connection counts, last connected time, and auto-connect settings (on/off and priority). This is used to show your devices, run auto-connect, and power widgets.
We do not have access to this data. It stays in the app's local storage and is deleted if you clear app data or uninstall the app.
1.2 Data we or our partners collect
When you use the app, the following may be collected and processed:

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or precise location. We do not sell your personal data.
2. How we use the data
- Run the app: Manage Bluetooth devices, auto-connect, widgets, and notifications using data stored on your device.
- Improve the app: Use analytics and crash/performance data to fix bugs and improve stability and performance.
- Advertising (if applicable): If we show ads, we or our ad partners may use the Advertising ID and usage data to show and measure ads. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings.
3. Legal basis (where applicable)
Where laws require a legal basis:
- Legitimate interests: Improving the app, analytics, and crash/performance reporting.
- Consent: Where we ask for consent (e.g. for optional features or non-essential data), we rely on your consent.
- Contract: Processing necessary to provide the app (e.g. device list and auto-connect).
4. Sharing of data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data only as follows:
- Service providers: With Google (Firebase: Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance) and, if we show ads, with ad networks (e.g. Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network). These providers have their own privacy policies and may process data globally.
- Legal: If required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
- Business transfer: In the event of a merger, sale, or transfer of assets, data may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Data retention and security
- On-device data: Stored until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
- Analytics / crash / performance: Retained according to the respective provider's policies (e.g. Firebase). We do not retain this data on our own servers.
- Security: We use industry-standard measures (e.g. encryption in transit). Data is handled by established providers (Google, etc.) that apply their own security practices.
6. Your rights and choices
- Device data: Clear app data or uninstall to remove data stored on your device.
- Analytics / Advertising ID: You can reset or limit the Advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (e.g. Google "Opt out of Ads Personalization").
- Data deletion: For data held by us or our providers, you can request deletion by contacting us (see Contact). Note: we do not operate our own analytics servers; most data is processed by Google. Uninstalling the app stops new data from being sent.
- Access / portability / restriction / object: Where the law gives you these rights, you may exercise them by contacting us.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or higher age where required). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Permissions
The app may request:
- Bluetooth / Bluetooth Connect / Scan: To connect, disconnect, and discover devices.
- Location (approximate/precise): Some Android versions require this for Bluetooth scanning; we do not use it to track your location.
- Notifications: To show connection alerts and to run background features (e.g. auto-connect) reliably.
- Internet: For analytics, crash reporting, in-app updates, and (if we show ads) advertising.
- Other (e.g. run at startup, foreground service): To support auto-connect and widgets.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are significant, we may notify you in the app or via the store listing. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
